Letter of Intention for Research Collaboration with MFA signed successfully

Letter of intention for Research Collaboration between the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Chinese MFA and Xiamen University was signed successfully on 26 November 2013 at Xiamen University, Xiamen, China.

The signing ceremony was conducted by Prof. Kuen-chen Fu, dean of the South China Sea Institute at Xiamen University. Prof. JianFa Li, deputy secretary and vice President of Xiamen University, began the ceremony with a welcome speech. He believed that this collaboration will reap great benefits. Similarly, Yixian Liang, deputy director of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Chinese MFA, considered this collaboration to be a tremendous contribution for Chinese marine industry.

The Agreement launched the cooperation between the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the South China Sea Institute, Xiamen University and will be of far-reaching and realistic significance for making China a marine power.
