Director of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese MFA visits South China Sea Institute

Huang Huikang, director of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the office of South China Sea Institute (SCSI) and had a brief meeting with members of SCSI on 23 December,2013. Prof. ZHANG, a former expert of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese MFA, introduced the history and current development of SCSI to Mr. Huang in detail, which was commended by Mr. Huang. Mr. Huang spoke highly ofChina Oceans Law Review, South China Sea Bulletinand the series of the South China Sea published by SCSI. He considered it will be a tremendous contribution for the research of law and policyon Chinese marine.

After that, Mr. Huang visited the library of Law School, Xiamen University, leafed through precious collections including the series of the United Nations Treaty, and communicated with staff members.
