Lecture on the Development Trend of International Fishery Management

On May 30th, 2013, Mr. Peter Ho gave a lecture on the Development Trend of International Fishery Management at SCSI, Xiamen University. This lecture was sponsored by the South China Sea Institute, Xiamen University and the Center for Oceans Policy and Law, Xiamen University. Prof. Kuen-chen Fu, Assistant Prof. XU Peng etc., attended the lecture.

The lecture also included a discussion about commercial fishery cooperation on which Mr. Ho had given a lecture the evening of the 28^th. Mr. Ho began by introducing the legal structure of international fishery management and then presented a detailed analysis about the role played by regional fishery management organizations such as the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna and the International Convention for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas. He also discussed with the audience the role played by regional fishery management organizations.

After finishing the lecture, Mr. Ho answered questions from the audience. His logical thinking and rich experience in the fishery industry made a strong impression on all who attended. The event concluded with warm applause.
