Prof. Kuen-chen FU Attended the Second Annual Conference on Maritime Security in the South China Sea

Prof. Kuen-chen FU of this Institute attended the second annual conference on Maritime Security in the South China Sea June 27-28, 2012, which hosted by the CSIS in Washington D.C. The conference was a policy level discussion of the complex and important issues around the South China Sea.

Prof. FU's speech focused on the following key themes: What is the role of customary law and UNCLOS? How could UNCLOS be used to resolve the dispute? What other mechanisms/models could be considered? Role of norms in managing the disputes: DOC and COC?
