Xiamen University Center for Oceans Law and Policy Hosted the First Academic Salon on Oceans Law

On the morning of April 6th, while celebrating the 88thanniversary of the establishment of Xiamen University, Xiamen University Center for Oceans Law and Policy hosted the firstacademic salonon oceans law, entitledThe Use of Legal Means to Resolve Delimitation Disputes in the China Seas, in classroom C519 of XMU School of Law. The salon was hosted by ZHAO Wei, aPh.D candidateof international law. YANG Fan, a postgraduate of international law, gave a report.

The international practice of resolving delimitation disputes through legal means

Afeasibility analysisof legal methods to resolve the specific disputes facing China

Specific paths for resolving said disputes

The attendants warmly discussed YANG’s report and raised a number of thought-provoking questions. Participants praised the salon as an excellent opportunity to learn more about legal methods for resolving national delimitation disputes.
