The 3rd South China Sea Conference to be held on 3-4 September 2013

This conference aims at identifying current issues in the SCS and the preventative measures that could be adopted to enhance security and avoid accidents in the South China Sea. It will seek to answer the following questions: what are the confidence building measures that might be developed between China and ASEAN; what are the roles of outside powers towards preserving a stable region and what is Malaysia’s role in promoting deliberation and discussion towards a manageable situation in the South China Sea.
